French-Inspired Wedding at Stratton Court Barn

Inspired by the romance and grandeur of French opulence, this styled shoot brought a little touch of regal elegance to the Oxfordshire countryside. Set at the beautiful Stratton Court Barn, the design combined soft lavender and powder blue tones with ornate gold accents, luxurious textures and abundant meadow-inspired florals to create a look that felt both romantic and full of personality.

At the heart of the design was a statement ceremony setting, framed by lavish floral arrangements, before flowing through to an elegant tablescape. Beautiful linens, delicate glassware, gold cutlery and carefully considered place settings brought the tables to life, with florals providing colour, movement and a natural softness. From the modern stationery and signage to the five-tier wedding cake, macarons and cocktails, every element was considered as part of the wider design.

The bridal styling added another layer of detail, with beautiful local suppliers bringing together contemporary bridalwear, elegant groomswear and handmade vintage hairpieces. Soft violet tones in the bride’s makeup complemented the colour palette, with a more defined evening look adding a little extra drama.

Sustainability was also an important part of the creative brief. Foam-free floral mechanics, eco-conscious stationery and handmade accessories helped demonstrate that thoughtful, beautiful design can go hand in hand with more considered choices.

The result was a romantic celebration of colour, texture and detail, bringing a touch of French-inspired elegance to the Cotswolds.
